德国DAAD奖学金 材料类 博士

Doctoral Programme at the Saarland University in Germany The Joint European Doctoral Programme in Advanced Materials Science and Engineering (DocMASE) is an international program with the participation of universities in Germany, France, Spain and Sweden and supported by the Erasmus Mundus program of the European commission. The DAAD will provide within its programme Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP) two further scholarships for starting doctoral thesis work at the Saarland University in Germany from April 2015. The Materials Science and Engineering Department (MSE) of Saarland University is recognised as one of the leading centres of materials science in Germany. The department is formed by 11 chairs covering the wide spectrum of materials science. Scientific research at the university is particularly enhanced by intensive collaboration with distinguished research centres established on the university campus, like the Leibnitz Institute of New Materials (INM), the Fraunhofer Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (IZfP), and the Material Engineering Center Saar (MECS). Two PhD positions are open for the following research topics: 2016-DAAD-1: Nano-crystalline and nano-structured metallic composites: synthesis and characterisation of thermal and mechanical properties (Advisor: Prof. Christian Motz). 2016-DAAD-2: Investigation of the influence of Nickel on the toughness of low alloyed low carbon steels (Advisor: Prof. Frank Mücklich) Applications must be received by June 30th, 2015 through our online application system (open on Monday, 11th of May). The application form can be found here DocMASE is aimed at candidates with a Master’s (or equivalent) degree in Materials Science and Engineering, or other related subjects such as Physics or Chemistry. Very good English knowledge is required, German knowledge will be an advantage. The DAAD scholarships are available for non-German candidates that have not leaved more that 15 months in Germany until the 30.08.2014. The DAAD funding is for up to three or (in the case of developing and emerging countries) for up to four years and will cover: · a monthly scholarship rate of currently 1000 �, · a country-dependent travel allowance, · a combined health, accident, and liability insurance, · if necessary, a rent subsidy and family allowance Applications to start the DocMASE programme in April 2015 must be received by July 30, 2015.
