Abstracts:
Resin bonded diamond tool has been widely used in the modern industry production due to its lots advantages such as high grinding efficiency, good self-sharpening and short production cycle.
As a high-performance engineering plastic with excellent properties and low toxicity, epoxy resin was most widely used as superhard abrasive binder( in addition to phenolic resin) in research and application with polyamide resin commonly used as curing agent.
The blends of epoxy resin and polyamide resin was used to prepare resin bonded diamond tool. The raw materials were followed by the steps of pressure molding, oven high temperature setting and room temperature curing to obtain test strip. The ratio of epoxy resin and polyamide resin in curing system was adjusted, followed by using diamond and silicon carbide （SiC）respectively as abrasive to conduct grouping contrast test to find out the test strip that with the highest hardness and the best grinding rate to SiC grinding wheel from different ratio of curing system and abrasives, and final to reach the best curing system range of grinding apparatus.
