As a heterocyclic compound, the hexachloro cyclotriphosphazene (HCC) possesses excellent heat-resistant and flame-retardant properties. Since each phosphorus of HCC is connected with two chlorines, its phosphorus content is relatively high, which results in a excellent flame retardant properties and thermal stability of its related derivatives. In addition,Benzoxazine resin is a new phenol formaldehyde resin (phenolic resin) evolved from the traditional resin, therefore not only it inherits the original advantages such as heat-resistant and fire-retardant properties, but also it possesses some characteristics that the traditional phenolic resins do not have including zero shrinkage, non-catalyst solidification, easiness in machine shaping, and flexible molecular structure design, which will be of a good application prospect. In this paper, we made attempt to introduce the phosphazene ring into the benzoxazine structure in hope of improving the flame retardant and heat resistance properties of the original HCC. |
