I remember about 7years old . It is a hot summer. My mum and I were working in the farmland . And that day was raining so heavy that the river was in high-level. I don't remember clearly right now what happen at that time . I was very angry with my mum who was promising to buy a toy to me . But finally she haven't for the shortage of money. U know, at that time, especially in remote areas. 10 yuan was a large scale for a poverty family. Never though about my family dilemma situation. I was self-willed and though I should do sth to punish my mom. I hide and didn't go home at night. At first. My mum though I might play with the neighbor's kids . But when there was time to have dinner she haven't see me . Suddenly. She realized sth was wrong . She found every places she can get and ask neighbor for help. But failed. I guessed she maybe very nervous and finally she looked for along with the river-side alone with a flashlight. Hard to image what she thinking about at that time . Crying and shouting maybe. Because go back to my home must cross a brige where the flood was flow over, almost to leg . To a 7 years old child it was very danger . More detail i have forgotten. One thing i never forget is that when i went out my mum have hang me in her arms for almost 1hours . Everytime when I think of this stupid thing. I still feel guilt to her . | When I was child, we often played cards with different painting, we played tobacco packages, we also played rectangle paper. there were many activities we played in childhood, but it was hard to explain in english, such as bag with sand inside, rubber band skipping, moonie..... etc. |
