Position Title:             Analytical Specialist
Work Location:       Zhangjiang High-Tech Park, Shanghai
Number of positions:       Two
Date requested to Start:       Immediate

Job Description:
·       Proactive in problem solving and have the leadership and communication skills to help a diversified global business to achieve its goal.
·       Understand material development needs and provide solutions and services that meet current and emerging analytical needs of internal and external customers
·       Collaborate and leverage global resources to solve various customer issues.
·       Develop analytical competency to ensure customers’ needs are met or exceeded.
·       Provide technical guidance and consultation to Lab technicians and customers
·       Champion continuous improvement of efficiency and quality
·       Work with manufacturing to implement quality control tools, improve existing tools and resolve production issues.
·       Utilize statistical skills including knowledge of design of experiments and Gage R&R in method development and new capability setup processes.
Prior Work Experience/capabilities:
·       Prior work experience/knowledge of analytical chemistry, polymer physics and organic chemistry is plus.
      Qualifications:
·       Ph.D. in Chemistry or Material/Polymer Science. Technical expertise in one or more of the following fields is required:
-       Spectroscopy (FT-IR/NIR, Raman, NMR, ICP, NMR)
-       Polymer/Additive Separation Science (GC, GC/MS, HPLC, GPC, MALS, CHDF)
-       Thermal Analysis/Polymer Rheology/Physical Testing
      Competencies:
·       Ability to solve problems and handle diverse responsibilities
·       Creative, versatile, passionate for new technologies
·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English
·       Energetic, vigorous attitude, inclusive in working relationship with other functions
·       Team work spirit, good communication and interpersonal skills
·       Visionary, out of the box thinker, open to ideas, global mindset
·       Statistical analysis and industrial experience will be considered a plus.
