¡¾´ð°¸¡¿Ó¦Öú»ØÌû

Reliability of using hydrochloric acid - isopropyl alcohol method to quantitatively determine  double-long-chain alkyl tertiary amine was investigated in this paper.
The reaction conversion of the synthesis of double long chain alkyl lycine was studied based on the  determination of tertiary amine content in unreacted raw materials, and the effects of tertiary amine raw material with ECHS and water to  titration endpoint were summarized.
A series of investigation of the existence of  lycine in titration systems were made to evaluate  whether it affects the  titration endpoint of pH indicator.
Experiments showed that  using hydrochloric acid - isopropyl alcohol method to determine the content of unreacted double-long-chain alkyl tertiary amine was  reliable, and  based on the  content  determine, the the conversion rate was also reliable through  the determination and calculation.
Moreover, in the process of using  hydrochloric acid - isopropyl alcohol method to measure the content of free tertiary amine in lycine, it has little influence on  tertiary amine  content analysis for the determination process with different amount  ECHS and water when the raw material tertiary amine was equivalent, the  titration results are basically identical. Simultaneously, the effect of  existence of  lycine in titration systems to the  titration endpoint of pH indicator also could  be ignored.

We evaluated the reliability of qualitative measurement of N-methyl, N, N-dialkyl tertiary amine with long alkyl chains using HCl-isopropanol method, and applied this to quantify the content of the leftover tertiary amine reactant in the synthesis of a long chain dialkylated carboxybetaine, in order to estimate the conversion rate of the reaction. We also highlighted the effects of the ECHS content in the tertiary amine and the presence of water on the determination of the end point in titration.

The results indicate that the amount of unreacted  N-methyl, N, N-dialkyl tertiary amine measured using HCl-isopropanol titration method is reliable, and the conversion rate of the tertiary amine calculated from the amount of the leftover tertiary amine was also reliable. In addition, variable ECHS content and the presence of water had minimal effect on the measurement of free tertiary amine content in dialkylated carboxybetaine using HCl-isopropanol direct titration method using an equal amount of the tertiary amine reactant,  the results are basically the same, meanwhile the presence of  dialkylated carboxybetaine also had negligible effect on the reading of the pH indicator.
