Electrophoresis文章接受，需要填VAT Number，这是啥？ 已有1人参与

这个VAT Number是什么东西，我看了一下好像与收税有点关系的，但我的文章不需要交版面费，因为文章页面少，且没有需要打印的彩图。 是不是可以不用填VAT Number呢？还有需要我填写Credit Card Token Number是不是也可以不用填呢？因为不需要交钱 谢谢热心的虫子  |

A value added tax identification number or VAT identification number (VATIN) is an identifier used in many countries, including the countries of the European Union, for value added tax purposes. 这和信用卡号没有任何关系。中国有这个VAT No.吗？好像主要是一些欧洲国家。 我个人感觉你可以忽视之。 有关VAT No.你可以到这里好好看看。http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VAT_identification_number |

非常感谢您的热心回复 编辑给我的信中解释了一下VAT Number： The charges for publication as page charge, cover pictures, and color figures are considered to be “supply of services” and therefore subject to German VAT. However, if you are an institutional customer outside Germany, the tax can be waived if you provide us with the VAT number of your company. Non-EU customers may have a VAT number starting with “EU” instead of their country code if they are registered with the EU tax authorities. If you do not have an EU VAT number and you are a taxable person doing business in a non-EU country, please provide certification from your local tax authorities confirming that you are a taxable person under local tax law. Please note that the certification must confirm that you are a taxable person and are conducting an economic activity in your country. Note: certifications confirming that you are a tax-exempt legal body (non-profit organization, public body, school, political party, etc.) in your country do not exempt you from paying German VAT. |
