Chemistry PhD/MSc positions available at the University of Ottawa

Graduate student (MSc/PhD) positions are available in the research group of Prof. Julian Chan in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Ottawa. The Chan lab focuses on designing and synthesizing new functional organic materials with unique optoelectronic and magnetic properties. Prospective students should be self-motivated and possess strong interest and ability in organic synthesis and polymer/materials chemistry. The university application deadline for international students for Winter admission is Aug 1, 2015. Scholarships for international students are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Chan group website (temporary URL): http://www.julianchangroup.com/ The Department of Chemistry at the University of Ottawa is ranked #2 in Canada and in the Top 51-75 chemistry departments in the world according to the Shanghai Ranking of World Universities in Chemistry. Ottawa is the capital city of Canada, and ranks 2nd in North America and 16th worldwide in terms of its quality of life according to Mercer.
