Post doc in Ordovician-Silurian palaeobiology - Annonce STATENS NATURHISTORISKE MUSEUM (Arbejdspladsen ligger i København kommune) Postdoc of Earth & Planetary System Science The Natural History Museum of Denmark Faculty of Science University of Copenhagen The Natural History Museum of Denmark (SNM), University of Copenhagen offers a 2 year postdoctoral position in the field of Ordovician-Silurian palaeobiology. We are looking for someone with a strong background in the fields of taxonomy, palaeoecology and biogeography who further possess quantitative skills and familiarity with the construction and maintenance of databases. Preferably the ideal candidate has some level of knowledge with statistical software, such as R or PAST, as well expertise with geographical information software, such as ArcGIS. Field work and/or specimen-based research experience is desirable but not essential. The project will focus specifically on the construction of a large database monitoring brachiopod dispersal, speciation and species richness changes through the Great Ordovician Biodiversification Event, as well as the end Ordovician extinctions and the succeeding early Silurian recovery interval. The successful candidate will be working closely together with the project initiator (PI), as well as Dr. Alycia L. Stigall, Geological Sciences, Ohio University, and Dr. Seth Finnegan, Dep. of Integrative Biology, University of California, Berkeley. The ideal candidate will just have finished a PhD, or, be at the junior postdoctoral level. 有关工资： The starting salary is currently up to DKK 403,682 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 69,030).
