[交流] 加拿大Memorial University 研究生招生信息

The Photonics Group in the Department of Physics and Physical Oceanography of the Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada has immediate openings for graduate studies to carry out research on the theme of ultrafast nano-photonics and laser applications. The research will use tunable femtosecond lasers, scanning near-field optical microscopy (SNOM/NSOM), fiber-optic systems, mass spectrometer, and vacuum deposition systems to study interactions of ultrafast lasers with matters, organic photonics (polymer solar cells), fiber optics and sensing, and femtosecond laser mass spectrometry. The self-motivated candidates are expected to have sufficient background in physics, or electrical engineering, or material science. Knowledge on optics is needed. All applicants accepted into the graduate program in this research group receive full scholarships. Starting date will be September 2015 or later. 加拿大纽芬兰纪念大学物理与物理海洋系光子学研究组热诚欢迎有志学生加入我们超快纳米光子学及激光应用技术的研究。我们的研究使用最新型的可调谐超快飞秒激光器,扫描近场光学显微镜,光纤系统,质谱仪和真空镀膜仪,通过研究光子材料和器件,从事超快激光与物质的相互作用,有机光子学(聚合物太阳电池),光纤光学及传感,飞秒激光质谱分析等最前沿的探索。研究成员必需有足够的物理背景,或电子/电机工程,或材料科学的背景,及一定的光学知识。本组所有录取的研究生均获得全额奖学金。开始日期为2015年9月或之后。有兴趣者可查阅研究组网页:http://www.mun.ca/physics/our_people/faculty/chen.php 并与Dr. Qiying Chen (qiyingc@mun.ca)联系。请附上简历和研究兴趣的说明.
