Reviewer #2: This manuscript should not be published as it is. The authors did not address comment 1 " One cannot conclude on the effect of the method of preparation on the selectivity (i.e.
EtOH/ROH ratio) since the comparison is made at very different conversions. To compare catalysts
selectivity one should always make the comparison at the same conversion since the selectivity
changes with the conversion!!! It is well known that when the CO conversion increases the
EtOH/MeOH ratio decreases and consequently these results are not surprising."
