PhD position 1: Infrastructure Systems Risk Monitoring, Detection and Control Preferred background: Control theory and applications, or complex systems and complex networks, or critical infrastructures modeling, or catastrophic risk management. CGPA request: >85/100 for undergraduate study; >85/100 for postgraduate study if with Master degree (Both of these are university request). Open for Aug-15/Jan-16 intake, position to be filled as soon as possible. PhD position 2: Prediction and control of epidemic spreading in multi-level complex systems Preferred background: Complex systems and networks, or large-scale multi-agent simulation, or system control and evolution; or epidemiology CGAP request: >85/100 for undergraduate study; >85/100 for postgraduate study if with Master degree Open for Aug-15/Jan-16 intake, position to be filled as soon as possible. Research Fellow position 1: Infrastructure Systems Risk Monitoring, Detection and Control Request: PhD degree, related experiences and strong background in control theory and applications, or complex systems and complex networks, or critical infrastructures modeling, or catastrophic risk management. Knowledge of power systems could be of some help. Duration: up to 3 years, contract to be renewed on annually, subject to success of the project Starting time: ASAP Research Fellow position 2: Coevolution of Social Networks and Memes Request: PhD degree, related experiences and strong background in social networks and complex networks, or modeling of complex system dynamics, or data mining on social media Duration: one year, further extension is possible but cannot be guaranteed at this moment.
