Monitoring Surface-ModificationSteps onPHBVFilmsby
XPS. After each modification step, XPS was applied to characterize
the modified surfaces to achieve the information on chemical structure
and atomic concentration. Four different surfaces, namely,
PHBV films (PHBV), NH3 plasma-treated PHBV films (PHBVNH2),
MAL-PEG-grafted PHBV films (PHBV-PEGMAL), and
RGD-modifiedPHBVfilms (PHBV-RGD) were analyzed byXPS.
Table 1 lists the intensities (i.e., the measured peak areas
divided by the corresponding sensitivity factors and normalized to
100% total intensity) of the elements on the four different surfaces.
Therewas no nitrogen signal found on the PHBV surface. The nitrogen
signal appeared after NH3 plasma treatment, and the intensities
increased after subsequent reactions with bifunctional PEG and
RGD peptides.

用XPS监控PHBV薄膜表面改性的步骤
每步改性后,用XPS对表面进行表征,分析化学结构和原子比例。共分析了PHBV薄膜 (PHBV)、NH3 等离子体处理PHBV薄膜(PHBVNH2)、MAL-PEG嫁接PHBV薄膜(PHBV-PEGMAL)和RGD改性PHBV薄膜(PHBV-RGD)等4种不同的表面。表1给出了4种表面的各元素强度(即峰面积除以相应的灵敏度因子并将总强度归一化为100%)。PHBV表面没有观察到氮的信号。NH3 等离子体处理后,氮信号出现,且与双官能团PEG和RGD多肽反应后强度增大。
