Under the service condition of high frequently switching with high voltage circumstance, the CuW contactors will suffer from poor high-temperature strength, poor abrasion resistance, and weak arc ablation resistance, which leads to an insufficient lifespan of electricals. As a result, in this paper, a series of goals will be realized including enhancing tungsten skeleton strength, improving the filtration capacity of copper liquid in tungsten skeleton, improving the abrasion resistance of Cu-W alloy, and realizing the uniform arc ablation and stable long-term service.

In this project, from the aspects of optimization design of double continuous gradient tungsten skeleton, rapid precision forming, and copper fluid transfusion within continuous gradient pores, it conducted systematical analysis on issues including pore structure design and construction technique of double continuous gradient tungsten skeleton, the interaction mechanism between high energy beam and tungsten powder, micro-mechanism of interaction between copper liquid and tungsten channel surface, and exploration of precision forming of gradient pore structured tungsten skeleton

Based on the evaluation of comprehensive property of CuW contactors, under high energy beam effect, this paper illustrated the formation mechanism of 3D continuous tungsten skeleton made of double continuous gradient Cu-W alloy,and the interaction mechanism between copper liquid and tungsten surface, which leads to the establishment of correlative mechanism among pore structure design,formation technology & transfusion behavior and comprehensive property.
