Eight dynamic pressure transducers are mounted on the decompression tube on the test section, as shown in Figure 2. These transducers are piezoelectric type manufactured by PCB Piezotronics Inc., model W102M221, which are intrinsically safe and offer a pressure range up to 34.5 Mpa (5000psi). They are ground isolated, have 1/8 - 27 NPT process connections, and are temperature rated down to –73°C environment. They were supplied with certifi cates of traceable calibration curves with overall accuracy of ±40 kPa and a frequency response up to 200 kHz. The data acquisition system has simultaneous sampling of all pressure transducers up to 8 channels with band-limiting to 25 kHz. |
