With the economic development and the worldwide rising of information industry, the copyright issue is getting an increasing attention. The information security develops as an emerging industry, making people's life and work more digitalized and informationized. In addition, it is more and more common that the copyright protection for music and film in the entertainment business needs to be realized. In this paper, a newly designed copyright protection plan AACS (Advance Access Content System) was analyzed, and its application in BD (Blu-ray Disc) illustrated the implementation theory of this newly digital copyright protection method in practical application, and demonstrated that as a new standard for storing and publicating HD Videos, the Advanced Blu-ray Disc was getting a worldwide popularity and stepping into public domain. However, since the present Blu-ray Disc can be run by only specialized hardware, the personal computer is not able to play the under-protected blu-ray discs, although PC can read the data of Blu-ray discs and is capable of showing HD videos, which is more obvious when running on non-windows system.
In this paper, it systematically illustrated the protection mechanism of Blu-ray discs with content of AACS, in particular, lots of researches were conducted regarding the AACS encryption scheme and its updatable authorization managements. In addition, by adopting C++ language, the vital AES encryption algorithm was realized, which enabled the correct decryption of Blu-ray discs. In this paper, a module popular plugging technique was introduced through advanced software engineering thinking, so as to finish the packing of core technique of Blu-ray decryption. In order to realize BD_Decryptor to AACS, a corresponding software programming realization integrated with transparent decryption technique was conducted, resulting in successful transparent decryption of BD film, creating the possibility of playing BD film on non-windows platform for example on Linux platform.
Through the contemporary software engineering method, the media player, transparent decryption, plug-in technology and GUI interface technique were applied in this paper, which can be described as a comprehensive application theoretically and technically. On the other hand, the existence of Bluray-Player indicates that the bluray protecting technique is not perfectly safe, as a result, a few constructive suggestions regarding present soft security were proposed in this paper. The Bluray-player is superior to the present only BD player-Power DVD in terms of running environment requirements and resource utilization, in addition, the BD_Decryptor also remove limitations that impede legitimate users to copy BD discs.
AACS was not perfectly safe as a content protection scheme, which was reflected by the existence of BD_Decryptor. This paper, from the perspective of BD_Decryptor operating, analyzed the potential risks of AACS especially including the drawbacks during playing BD discs under protection of AACS, and proposed few constructive suggestions regarding security issues in AACS implementation. |
