RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT PROJECT ENGINEER / DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – SCHOOL OF LIFE SCIENCES & CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY As an R&D Project Engineer/Design & Development Officer, you will be part of a team working on the design and application of novel hollow fibre membranes. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Characterisation of polymeric hollow fiber membranes; Evaluation of membrane performance; Preparation of laboratory scale and pilot scale membrane modules; and Design of membrane systems and conduct tests on membranes. Pre-requisites A tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering with at least 1 year relevant work experience in: Membrane materials and membrane processes Analysis and presentation of experimental data and results Experience in conducting laboratory experiments and analytical techniques including TOC, COD, Dissolved Oxygen Measurements, Light Microscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy will be an advantage.
