  Job description

  中国科学院宁波材料技术与工程研究所has several Staff Scientists openings in the area of energy storage system development. The successful applicants will join the Advanced Lithium Battery Development & Characterization team and participate in a multidisciplinary research effort aimed at the discovery of high-energy density lithium battery for noval energy storage applications. The ideal candidate has demonstrated expertise in the design and fabrication of battery materials including (but not limited to) anode, cathode and electrolyte materials using their knowledge in inorganic or organic synthetic chemistry, electrochemistry and characterization of materials using cyclic voltammetry, EIS, X-ray diffraction, optical spectroscopy, and electron microscopy. Selected candidates will be expected to work independently on a defined research project and as part of a multidisciplinary research team. Candidates will be expected to implement their products to the advanced energy storage system, and to disseminate their results through patents (if applicable), peer-reviewed journal publications, and conference presentations.

  Minimum Job Requirements:  

  1、Demonstrated experience with the design and synthesis of lithium battery materials as well as the implementation of the battery testing methods ;

  2、Demonstrated ability as an innovative experimentalist with a broad range of experience in experimental design, experimental equipment design/development, and a wide range of structural and optical characterization techniques;

  3、Demonstrated ability to perform as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team conducting scientific work;

  4、Demonstrated ability to work independently;

  5、Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both orally and in writing;

  6、Demonstrated record of reliability and versatility;

  7、Demonstrated competency with computers and software applications for word processing, data processing (e.g., Excel/Origin/IGOR/Matlab), and data visualization;

  8、Demonstrated experience with NI LabView data acquisition and control software and hardware.

  Desired Skills:  

  1、Demonstrated experience with the synthesis of anhydrous materials and the associated glovebox techniques;

  2、Demonstrated experience with operation of electrochemical characterization techniques, optical spectroscopy (UV/VIS, Raman, FTIR) and electron microscopy;

  3、Demonstrated high-level skills in the design, assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of battery testing devices, and vacuum systems;

  Education:  

  A Ph.D. completed or soon to be completed in Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field. Thesis work with emphasis in lithium metal battery is preferred.

  工资待遇:

  执行中科院三元工资体系。
