美国犹他大学博后招聘 已有3人参与

A postdoctoral position is available in Jun Yang’s laboratory at the University of Utah (http://junyanglab.hsc.utah.edu) The research in the Yang laboratory in the Molecular Biology Program and Neuroscience Program of the University of Utah is focused on genetics of hereditary retinal degeneration and hearing loss, cell biology of photoreceptors and hair cells, as well as gene therapy. We use mouse models and a combination of approaches in molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, electrophysiology, behavior, and various levels of microscopies. We are studying Usher syndrome, the leading genetic cause of deafblindness, and early onset cone-rod dystrophy, a disease affecting both rod and cone photoreceptors during early childhood. Currently, no cures are available for both diseases. This position is for a highly motivated individual with 0-2 years of postdoctoral experience. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree and have a strong background and expertise in molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, genetics, physiology and/or neuroscience.
