请问这句话如何理解“the identification number for the beta-Gal gene”

近日，小弟投稿Food Science and Biotechnology，审稿人有一条意见：2. Although the expression vector of pJS700a is one of the most important tool in this work, however, there is no information about its details and any references. Also, the identification number for the β-Galactosidase gene should be given in a revision. 第二句话“ the identification number for the β-Galactosidase gene”中的“identification number”如何理解。 谢谢！ |
