[交流] 【求助】MS4.2补丁问题

不知大家有没有安装MS4.2补丁，前几天在小木虫下载了补丁并安装，之后发现计算是出现以下问题：
（1）对照初级教程练习CASTEP时，发现优化Pt的空间结构是，其晶型发生了较大的变化，从以前的简单立方晶系转到三方晶系
（2）以前计算后，在server console以及软件最下方都显示job内容，但是补丁之后这些内容没有啦！

不知大家有没有遇到类似或其他问题，还请高人指教啊！谢谢！

看accelrys官网的说明，ms4.2的补丁是修复了dmol的bug,也没提castep啊

Update 1 (version 4.2.1)
This update provides the following enhancements:

Error in DMol3 4.2 geometry optimization.

Error in DMol3 4.2 geometry optimization
This update (4.2.1) addresses a potential problem in the way that DMol3 4.2 computes atomic forces, which on rare occasions may cause geometry optimizations to fail. The likelihood of encountering the bug increases with system size. There is a theoretical risk that this bug could also affect vibrational frequency calculations, but in such cases a prior geometry optimization would have failed to converge. The impact of the problem on forces is quite dramatic, so it will be obvious if you have encountered this problem. Any calculations that have already converged successfully are correct.

You do not need to make any changes to the input file in order to invoke this fix. Once you have installed the patch, DMol3 will compute the forces correctly.
