[交流] Postdoc position in University of Kentucky

Postdoctoral position available

A Post-doctoral position is available to study the biology of hematopoietic stem cells. We are seeking self-motivated independent researchers to investigate molecular mechanisms involved in the regulation of self-renewal and differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells in physiological, aging and malignant conditions. The focus will be on the characterization of a novel molecular regulator, latexin, and its downstream signaling pathways, in the regulation of hematopoietic stem cell functions (http://www.nature.com/ng/journal/v39/n2/abs/ng1938.html). We are also interested in the stem cell niche in the bone marrow and its regulatory role of stem cell functions. Our research team uses an integrative approach that involves cell and molecular biology, flow cytometry, imaging, sequencing and in vivo mouse models.

Self-motivated individuals with a Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate must have a solid publication record and evidence of excellent skills in molecular and cellular biology. Previous experience with animal care, flow cytometry, bone marrow (or stem cell) transplantation, cell culture, lenti- or retro-viruses, and immunohistochemistry is preferred.
