The problem of format: name of all kinds of traditional Chinese medicine should be in italics; Some text size is not unified, such as the size of “ethanol” in abstract is small, also appear elsewhere in this paper several times; The full name should be given for an abbreviation when it is first used, such as NMR, CE, etc; In section 2.3, " A Acquity" and please check in full. 2. The composition and efficacy of the Chinese traditional medicine prescription has described in the section of introduction, which do not need to be in abstract again. 3. Please explain why only in the proportion of ethanol extract prescription medicine? What effects of other percentage of extraction solvent? 4. In figure 1 (AB), in addition to the analysis of the 56 peak, there are other peaks, but why not analyze these peaks? Those are the new generated, or what kind of prescription of traditional Chinese medicine effective component? Seems to explain the peaks would help for a thorough knowledge of the chemical composition of the prescription. 5. The work described that this method of UPLC - TOF - MS has high sensitivity, but the paper did not mentioned in detail the quantitative analysis of 56 kinds of chemicals, and can't get the data such as linear range, LOD, also the paper lack of actual samples analysis. Reviewer: 2 Chen et al. developed a method of UPLC-Q-TOF-MS for the determination of major components of a Chinese herbal prescription named Qixue Shuangbu Tincture (QXSBT). It was claimed that 56 components including chalcones, triterpenoids, protopanaxatriol, flavones and flavanones were identified. After I read through this manuscript carefully, I found this paper is interesting and well organized. I would like to recommend the publication of this well-written paper in the Journal of Separation Science.
