Job Purpose: Provide timely and quality technical support for HDPE customers in the region for the assigned process & application. Utilize the technical skills to support the new market development in the region. Responsibilities • Translate / implement technical related parts of BU / VT/ TM Department strategies towards SEA market, by: - Analyzing & consolidate market trends & opportunities - Implement required product portfolio changes - Promote new grades • Build productive technical customer relationships by: - Providing optimum customer (technical) services - Identify and realize value creation opportunities with current / future product portfolio - Initiating market analyses (competitors, products, applications, prospects) and value chain analyses • Seek all HDPE grades approval and third party laboratory testing is to support the company declarations of compliance to various regulations • Translating market analyses in T&I projects (product developments, product phase outs, product cost price reductions) and choices for market growth strategy (Pre marketing, co-producer deals, plant production wheel optimizations) • Organize and provide technical seminar/training to external customers and Polymer Sales teams according to customer training program. • Building Customer Loyalty by Effectively meeting customer needs; building productive customer relationships; taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty. • Respond to external and internal customer’s technical inquiries and technical requests. • Resolve customer’s technical problems and difficulties by making field trips and/or trials to troubleshoot these problems on-site. • Handling various applications with more regions. • Coordinate and conduct trials and testing to evaluate new and modified grades; consolidate feedback and result. • Report the development of new technologies, products or innovations and its impact on future product trends and technologies. • Analyze customers or competitors’ products and recommends company’s equivalent grades that can produce similar quality and performance. • Participate in T&I product development programs on products that are strategic to company and are of interest to company corporate and other strategic market regions. • Maintain close relationship with machine and equipment manufacturer to get first-hand knowledge on new trends in products, technology and machinery to support new product development. • Analyze customers' technical needs and develop proposals outlining how the organization’s products and services can meet these needs and be integrated and implemented with the customer's existing systems and equipment. Requirements -Bachelor Degree (Chem. Eng., & Polymer Science) -5-7 years of Polymer experience in the field of TM, manufacturing, processing or marketing -Excellent English; any additional language preferred -BIM ((Basic Industrial Marketing) or AIM(Advanced Industrial Marketing) -Strong polymer background -Proven leadership and communication skills -Multicultural flexibility and international mindset of building on diversity -Good understanding of key business and financial processes -Driving for success, planning and organizing, hold people accountable -Develop and empower people -Computer skills and deal with SAP system. |
