Hello everyone, As of January 5, 2015, sufficient proficiency in the English language, as determined by the newly added and updated Government regulations, is now mandatory. All J-1 Exchange Visitors need to possess English competency to successfully participate in his or her program and to function on a day-to-day basis. The new provision requires that the inviting faculty member use ONE of the following as a measurement of English language proficiency and provide proof of said measurement: ☐ A recognized English language test (provide copy of test); ☐ Signed documentation from an academic institution or English language school (provide copy of documentation); ☐ A documented interview in-person, by videoconferencing or by telephone must be conducted by the inviting faculty member. The faculty member must also complete the English Proficiency Form for Perspective J-1 Exchange Visitors and attach it to the request. This form is attached. If you have test scores please also send a score guide that determines the J’s score so that way we know what that score means. I have attached the English Proficiency Form above for Professors/supervisors who would like to conduct phone or video conferences. Also beginning as of January 5, 2015, emails of both the J-1 and J-2 dependents are required to be submitted in SEVIS. This will be pertinent when they arrive into the US and meet with Marc or I for the new arrival appointment so please have those accounts set up before arriving in our office. I will need the English Proficiency documentation or scores with rubrics included by December 24th so please get those to me ASAP. Please do not delay or forget about this for the Department of State is now looking to see if these new regulations are being met and plus there are a lot of you who I have to keep track of so let us get this done quickly. Thanks for all the help you do and for your time getting this done. Happy Holidays! 我想知道: 1.PETS5(我总分66,听力15,口语3)的成绩单有用吗? 2.
