Open postdoc position Project description: Our lab is interested in early embryonic development with specific focus on early neural fate determination after the formation of naïve ectoderm. We also study the specification of primordial germ cells which in future give rise to either oocytes or sperms. Our goal is to better understand the mechanism of how transcription factors and signaling network controlling fate decision in the temporal and spatial manner. Methods: The studies involve molecular biology, mouse handling, cell biology, bioinformatics and genome-wide approaches such as single-cell RNA sequencing. Location: Department of Cell and Molecular Biology at Karolinska Institutet offers exciting environment to conduct cutting-edge research. It provides excellent core facilities and state-of-art platform in a creative, inspiring, international and highly interactive environment. Application details for Postdoc fellowship: We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who have a solid background with biology and computational analysis with a PhD degree in related fields. Future candidate is expected to be proficiency in English and good presentation and written skills in English are required. The successful candidate is expected to mainly conduct bioinformatic analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing data and also assist necessary lab work.
