The lab focuses on examining the role of scavenger receptors in lipoprotein metabolism and innate immunity. We use a variety of experimental tools to investigate this problem, including X-ray crystallography, molecular, and cell biological methods (see reference: Neculai et. al, Nature 2013, 504, 172). We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with proven expertise in all techniques associated with management and support tasks of a molecular biology laboratory. Prior experience with protein expression in insect cells, X-ray crystallography or microscopy would be an added benefit. The candidate must have a B.S. in biological sciences or related field (M.Sc. or higher is preferred) with a minimum 3 years of research experience, and have at least a basic level in English, spoken and written. Salary will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
