| Dr. Zizhong Chen ( http://www.cs.ucr.edu/~chen ) at the University of California, Riverside invites applications for Ph.D. studies in the areas of high performance computing, parallel and distributed system, and cluster and cloud computing. Dr. Chen has published many papers in top HPC and cloud computing conferences and journals including HPDC, PPoPP, SC, ICS, TPDS, and TC. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a recipient of the prestigious NSF CAREER Award. Dr. Chen currently serves as the Associate Editor of the Elsevier Parallel Computing journal and the Finance Chair for the ACM ICS'15 conference. Qualified candidates are expected to have a strong programming experience in C/C++ or Fortran under Linux platform and good math skills. Students with strong CS, EE, or Math backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.
