| Into a three-necked round-bottom flask (500 mL) equipped with a condenser were placed benzophenone (2, 8.1 g 44.5 mmol), NaH (60%, 2.2 g, 55 mmol) and benzene (80 mL) under nitrogen. The mixture was reflux for 10 min. Then, 4-bromophenylacetonitrile (1, 9.4 g, 48 mmol) in benzene (150 mL) was added dropwise over 1 h under reflux condition. Evolved H2 was observed at the oil bubbler and the reaction was lasted for another 20 h.Upon cooling to room temperature, 100mL of water was added to the mixture. The organic layer was collected and washed with brine three times. The organic phase was then dried over anhydrous Na2SO4 and concentrated under vacuum. Addition of methanol gave pale yellow crystals in 86% yield. |

| 在氮气保护下，向装备有冷凝器的三口圆底烧瓶中放入二苯甲酮(2, 8.1 g 44.5 mmol)、NaH (60%, 2.2 g, 55 mmol)和苯(80 mL)。随后，在回流的条件下，逐滴加入4-溴苯乙腈(1, 9.4 g, 48 mmol)的苯溶液(150 mL)，滴加时间超过1小时。这一过程中，逸出的氢气可以在油起泡器处观察到，反应再持续20小时。冷却到室温后，立即向混合物加入水(100mL)。收集有机层，并用卤水洗涤3次。其后，有机相用无水硫酸钠干燥，并真空浓缩。加入甲醇得到淡黄色晶体，产率为86%。 |
