Call for Papers EURASIP Journal on Information Security Special Issue on Challenges for Multimedia Content Security in Social Networks http://jis.eurasipjournals.com/about/update/CMCSSN EURASIP Journal on Information Security welcomes submissions to the new special issue on Challenges for Multimedia Content Security in Social Networks. With the rapid development of network socialization, Multimedia Social Networks (MSNs) have increasingly emerged. These MSNs offer network tools, services, and applications for multimedia contents (e.g., electronic book, digital image, audio and video) that can be shared among users in the same group or between different groups within social networks. Many MSNs are popular nowadays, such as the video sharing network YouTube and the audio sharing network SongTaste. However, easy digital content reproduction and the convenient distribution and sharing of such contents facilitated by open MSNs environments have enabled people to share and distribute valuable private, confidential or copyrighted digital contents within social networks. Behavior such as illicit copying, malicious distribution, unauthorized usage, free sharing of copyright-protected digital contents, will also become a much more common phenomenon. Some research frontiers on media contents security in social networks applications have been in progress, including enhanced security mechanisms, methods and algorithms, trust assessment and risk management in social network applications, as well as social factors and soft computing technologies addressing the emerging issues in social media distributions. Potential topics include, but are not limited to: • Integrity verification of digital content • Preventative cryptographic methods for multimedia social networks and content security • Reactive watermarking and forensics approaches to multimedia contents for social networks • Multimedia usage control and formalized modeling • Social media distribution security architecture, model, networking • Mobile social network admission and security protocols • Digital rights management and privacy protection for multimedia social network • Trust management, security risk assessment and management for social networks • Toward multimedia social network application cases and empirical studies Submission instructions: Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure you have carefully read the Instructions for Authors for EURASIP Journal on Information Security. The complete manuscript should be submitted through the EURASIP Journal on Information Security submission system. To ensure that you submit to the correct thematic series please select the appropriate section in the drop-down menu upon submission. In addition, indicate within your cover letter that you wish your manuscript to be considered as part of the Challenges for Multimedia Content Security in Social Networks. All submissions will undergo rigorous peer review and accepted articles will be published within the journal as a collection.
