2015关于黑洞的新书The Physics of Accretion onto Black Holes This title reviews in-depth research on accretion on all scales, from galactic binaries to intermediate mass and supermassive black holes. Possible future directions of accretion are also discussed. The following main themes are covered: a historical perspective; physical models of accretion onto black holes of all masses; black hole fundamental parameters; and accretion, jets and outflows. An overview and outlook on the topic is also presented. This volume summarizes the status of the study of astrophysical black hole research and is aimed at astrophysicists and graduate students working in this field. Originally published in Space Science Reviews, Vol 183/1-4, 2014. Table of contents : Content: Front Matter....Pages i-vii Foreword....Pages 1-3 Searching for Black Holes in Space....Pages 5-19 General Overview of Black Hole Accretion Theory....Pages 21-41 Fast Variability from Black-Hole Binaries....Pages 43-60 Modelling Spectral and Timing Properties of Accreting Black Holes: The Hybrid Hot Flow Paradigm....Pages 61-85 Current Status of Simulations....Pages 87-100 Observational Tests of the Picture of Disk Accretion....Pages 101-120 Observational Appearance of Black Holes in X-Ray Binaries and AGN....Pages 121-148 Scaling Relations from Stellar to Supermassive Black Holes....Pages 149-161 Menus for Feeding Black Holes....Pages 163-187 Massive Binary Black Holes in Galactic Nuclei and Their Path to Coalescence....Pages 189-221 Mass Measurements of Stellar and Intermediate-Mass Black Holes....Pages 223-252 Measuring the Masses of Supermassive Black Holes....Pages 253-275 Measuring Black Hole Spin Using X-Ray Reflection Spectroscopy....Pages 277-294 Black Hole Spin via Continuum Fitting and the Role of Spin in Powering Transient Jets....Pages 295-322 An Overview of Jets and Outflows in Stellar Mass Black Holes....Pages 323-337 X-Ray Observations of Powerful AGN Outflows....Pages 339-351 Outflow Launching Mechanisms....Pages 353-369 Energetic and Broad Band Spectral Distribution of Emission from Astronomical Jets....Pages 371-403 Jet–Environment Interactions as Diagnostics of Jet Physics....Pages 405-425 The Supermassive Black Hole—Galaxy Connection....Pages 427-451 Multi-Wavelength Variability....Pages 453-476 Black Hole Studies: Overview and Outlook....Pages 477-489 |
