The dried gel was ground and sieved. Grain sizes from32 to 63 mm were selected. In order to determine the stabilisation temperature, as well as crystallisationtemperature of both glasses, thermogravimetric and differential thermal analyses (TG/DTA) were carriedout using a Seiko Thermobalance TG/DTA 320. Based on the results that no further weight loss was recordedafter treating the dried gel above 7001C, the stabilisation treatment was carried out by heating the dried gel disksat 7001C for 3 h. |
