Authors should prepare their work in CIF (Crystallographic Information File) format and arrange for organic and organometallic structural information to be deposited with the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC) prior to submission (via http://www.ccdc.cam.ac.uk/services/structure_deposit). Data will be held in the CCDC's confidential archive until publication of the article, when data for organic and organometallic compounds will be entered into the Cambridge Structural Database. Upon manuscript submission to the RSC, authors will be asked to provide CCDC reference numbers; CIFs should not be submitted. Any subsequently revised CIFs should be deposited directly with the CCDC before the revised manuscript is submitted to the RSC. In addition, authors should provide the checkCIF report for their reported crystal data. The checkCIF reports are available via the International Union of Crystallography's free checkcif service. Any ‘level A' alerts in the report should be explained in the submission details for the article. Please upload CheckCIF reports to the RSC along with manuscript files.
