The energy band gaps (DEg) of the compounds were estimated from the onset wavelength of their UV absorptions. The LUMO energy levels were obtained from the HOMO energy and the energy band gap (DEg¼HOMOLUMO). The HOMO, LUMO and DEg values are listed in Table 3. The DEg values of the compounds were found to be in the range of 2.75¨C2.82 eV, which is below the value (3 eV) that common organic light materials possess. |
