Openings for research fellow positions (2x) in microchannel fluid flow and heat transfer，Mechanical Engineering，NUS. Job Description: Research Fellow #1 will conduct CFD analysis so as to adapt and optimize the patent-pending oblique fin structure to achieve significant air-side heat transfer enhancement. He/she will also integrate the structure into novel heat exchanger designs and fabricate various prototypes and conduct the required experiment validations. Research Fellow #2 will adapt and integrate the patent-pending oblique fin structure into novel heat exchanger designs for waste heat recovery to achieve significant efficiency improvement. He/she will also build and test various prototypes and conduct the required experiment validations. Job Requirements: Applicants should possess a PhD degree in the area of thermal sciences in (heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics) from a reputable university, with a strong background in CFD/numerical modelling and have good written and verbal communication skills. Personal qualities such as the ability to take initiative and to work independently, having a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills and commitment to deliver results would be much valued. Experience with grant writing will be an added advantage.
