4. Conclusions
This study used the polyhydroxy structure of _-CD for the synthesis of _-cyclodextrin-based resin with super water absorbency. In this optimized condition, the water absorbency of the resin was 1544.76 g/g in distilled water and 144.52 g/g in 0.9 wt.% NaCl. Significant overswelling of the resin occurred in CaCl2 and AlCl3 solutions. The synthesized resin (dry) exhibited a clear stratified rock structure and had a large number of pores. The interior of the resin hydrogel showed a polygon structure with a three-dimensional network structure. The resin was thermoplastic, pH-sensitive, and biodegradable. This paper is merely a preliminary work. Further research on the role of resin in metal ion elimination will be conducted to explore other possible application of this material.

4. 结论
