Current Oncology (www.current-oncology.com)

Current Oncology is a peer-reviewed, Canadian based and internationally respected journal, indexed by Science Citation Index (SCI) with an Impact Factor (IF) of 1.473 (2013 Journal Citation Reports, Science Edition). Published bi-monthly, plus special supplemental issues, Current Oncology represents a multidisciplinary medium encompassing health care workers in the field of cancer therapy to report upon and to review progress in the management of this disease.

The journal publishes a range of article types that encompass all aspects of cancer medicine: Original articles, Review articles, Commentaries, Practice guidelines, Letters to the Editor
Perspectives, Short communications and Case reports. Manuscripts must be solely the work of the author(s) stated, must not have been previously published elsewhere, and must not be under consideration by another journal.

Articles published in the journal contain information that is relevant directly to clinical oncology practice, and have clear potential for application to the current or future practice of cancer medicine. Current Oncology aims to facilitate the communication from the laboratory to the bedside; contributing to cancer prevention, treatment, early detection, diagnosis, survivorship and rehabilitation. All papers should be written to be clearly understandable to the journal’s readers in a wide range of specialties. Submissions in the area of basic research are not accepted by the journal.

In 2012, the journal had over 250 submissions and an article acceptance rate of 57%. Articles submitted to the journal undergo our rigorous peer review process and must be accepted prior to publication.
