辗转于Nature 期刊系列间……

写了一篇文章。 先是投到了Nature上，Nature编辑回信说，文章专业性太强，建议投到一个比较专业性的期刊上。 于是改投 Nature Medicine，主编给的意见还不错，直接推荐到 Nature Reviews Cancer上面（用编辑部的稿件转移系统）。 于是投稿到Nature Reviews Cancer上面。结果一个多月以后，又被拒。 Nature 的这些子期刊之间的编辑之间，还是不一定互相买账的…… 这些是拒稿信： 拒信1，来自Nature： Dear Dr Ma Thank you for offering us your paper entitled "×××××", which we must decline on editorial grounds. We do not doubt the technical quality of your study or its interest to others working in this and related areas of research. However, after consideration, we have concluded that this paper will be of insufficiently immediate interest to researchers in a broad range of other disciplines to justify publication in Nature. I am sorry that on this occasion we cannot be more encouraging. Yours sincerely Barbara Marte 拒信2，来自Nature Medicine： Dear Dr. Ma, Thank you for asking us to consider your proposed Manuscript "×××××" (×××). We have given careful consideration to it and concluded that it would not be well suited to Nature Medicine. Because many articles are submitted and we are only able to consider publishing a few of these, the competition for space is quite fierce. Each proposal is carefully evaluated by the editorial team, and only those that are considered of likely broad interest and of high impact are invited. Papers may fall short of consideration on a number of editorial grounds. For example, they may be too specialized, unlikely to appeal to a broad sample of the biomedical community or they may not adequately address subjects that are likely to interest and be accessible to our readers. Moreover, commentaries are usually commissioned by the editors to cover a specific field of interest for the journal. In this particular case, we think that the paper might be more suitable to a journal specialized in cancer. In fact, if I may, I'd like to suggest the possibility of transferring your submission to our sister journal Nature Reviews Cancer using the link at the bottom of this letter. Being editorially independent, I cannot guarantee that they'll be enthused by the submission, but I'd say it's a possibility worth considering.
