Pigment preparation
Soluble salts of iron and aluminium, at pre-determined concentrations and stoichiometric ratios, were to prepare Fe2O3-Al2O3 pigments. These salts were mixed together very well by grinding, and then calcined in an electric furnace for 3-5 h. The ramp was set at 208C/min and the pigments were calcined at 1,000-1,200℃, following the reaction shown in Figure 1.

In the case of mixing the two compounds, the solid-solid
interaction took place according to Figure 2.

Both oxides have trigonal structure, which led to an easy interference between them, so that one of them can replace the other in the crystal structure, leading to the formation of solid solution of one component in the other depending on the concentration of both iron oxide and aluminium oxide.

颜料制备
铁和铝的盐溶液,根据预先确定的浓度和化学计量比,分别制备Fe2O3-Al2O3颜料。通过研磨将这些盐混合很好的混合在一起,然后在电炉中焙烧3-5小时。温度提高的速度设定在208℃/分,颜料在1,000-1,200℃焙烧,根据图1所示的反应进行。

两个氧化物都具有三方晶结构,从而使它们相互之间容易干扰,使晶体结构中一种物质可以替代另一种物质,导致的结果是,根据铁和铝氧化物的浓度,可以形成成固-液混杂的组分。
