Results and discussion Pigment preparation Soluble salts of iron and aluminium, at pre-determined concentrations and stoichiometric ratios, were to prepare Fe2O3-Al2O3 pigments. These salts were mixed together very well by grinding, and then calcined in an electric furnace for 3-5 h. The ramp was set at 208C/min and the pigments were calcined at 1,000-1,200℃, following the reaction shown in Figure 1. In the case of mixing the two compounds, the solid-solid interaction took place according to Figure 2. Both oxides have trigonal structure, which led to an easy interference between them, so that one of them can replace the other in the crystal structure, leading to the formation of solid solution of one component in the other depending on the concentration of both iron oxide and aluminium oxide.  asdasdasdasdasdasd.png  aaaaa.png |
