[交流] 加拿大生物信息学/统计遗传学全奖硕博连读机会（要求统计学或计算机专业）

A PhD candidate position in bioinformatics/statistical genetics is available in Dr. Pingzhao Hu's lab (www.hu-bioinformaticslab.org) at the Department of Biochemistry and Medical Genetics (BMG), Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, Canada.

Applicants should hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in statistics or computer science with 3.5 (4.5 scale) or average 85% Grade Point Average (GPA) in the previous 60 credit hours of university study, or equivalent (normally two years). In addition, during this period there should be no grade less than C+ (75%) in core courses.

The candidate should have solid programming skills (R, Python and/or C, etc.), quantitative analysis background (machine learning, data mining, etc.) and acquaintance with Linux.

The candidate should also meet one of the following English test requirement:
University of Michigan English Language Examination Assessment Battery MELAB (80%); Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL– Paper-based test (550); Computer-based test (213) ; Internet Based iBT (80); International English Language Testing System IELTS (6.5).

The position is fully supported by a Research Assistantship (approximately 18k-20k CAD/year) for 4 years.
