Selenium, which is important for dose evaluation in safety assessment (79Se: half-life T1/2>6.5104years), is one of the redox-sensitive elements. It is known from conventional studies that Se forms anionic species in solution and is slightly sorbing onto bentonite (e.g., Shibutani and Yui, 1996). Selenium is found in oxidation states between II and VI. In the pH of neutral waters, SeO42- (selenate) is predominant under strongly oxidizing conditions, while HSe(hydroselenide) dominates under reducing conditions,and SeO32- (selenide) is just predominant at the boundary between both redox conditions (Brookins,1988; Ticknor et al., 1988). Thus, the chemical speciation of Se depends on the redox condition and pH of the solution, which may result in a limited retardation of Se in compacted bentonite. 11.png |

| 在剂量与安全评估中有重要作用的硒(79Se: 半衰期T1/2>6.5x104年)，是氧化还原敏感元素之一。以往的研究高所我们，硒在液相中形成阴离子物质，并轻微吸附于到膨润土 (如Shibutani和Yui, 1996)。在-II与VI之间，硒处于氧化状态。在中性水及强氧化条件下，SeO42-（硒酸盐）是主要形式，而在还原条件下以HSe（水合硒化物）占优，而在氧化与还原的边界条件下，则以SeO32- （硒化物）占主导形式(Brookins,1988; Ticknor et al., 1988)。因此，Se的化学产物取决于氧化还原条件和溶液的pH值，而产物的不同所引起的硒在夯实膨润土中的迟滞作用是有限的。 |
