[交流] 2014年香港城市大学神经工程学神经科学方向PhD申请

PhD Studentship in Neural Engineering/Neuroscience : City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong

We are looking for highly motivated PhD students who are interested in interdisciplinary research project in Neural Engineering at the Department of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering in City University of Hong Kong. We are a young lab interested in various aspects of neuroprosthetics and neural network computation.

Interested students with backgrounds in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Neuroscience, or related area are strongly encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to applicants with Master’s degree or at his/her final year of master program, but outstanding candidates with a good honor Bachelor’s degree are also welcome to apply.

The candidates should have strong interest in interdisciplinary research and are highly motivated, with experience in one or more of the following area:
1. Electrophysiology and animal stereotaxic experiment
2. Neural Computation
3. FPGA/Hardware real-time simulation
4. System Control/Machine learning/Reinforcement learning

PhD studentships are available at a monthly stipend of $HK 14,800 .

The minimum English proficiency requirements are:
a) a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based) or 213 (computer-based) or 79 (internet-based); or
b) a minimum overall band score of 6.5 in IELTS; or
c) a score of 490 in the Chinese mainland’s College English Test Band 6
