Catalyst nanomaterials are essential to life sciences, chemical engineering processes, environmental protection, and energy and fuels. Researches on catalyst materials include new approaches to synthesizing conventional catalysts, discovery of new catalysts, novel mechanistic studies on catalysis, and practical enhancements of known chemical or biological processes. One relatively new research on photocatalysis utilizes surface plasmon generated from metal nanoparticles to induce or assist the catalytic reactions directly on metal surfaces or metal/semiconductor interfaces.

We invite researchers to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that focus on designed synthesis of functional catalyst nanomaterials and evaluation of their catalytic performances. We are particularly interested in articles describing new approaches to the synthesis of catalyst nanomaterials, new catalysts for various applications, and surface plasmon induced /assisted catalysis. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

·     Recent advances in synthesis of catalyst nanomaterials
·     Advances in discovering new catalyst nanomaterials
·     Mechanistic studies on catalytic processes
·     Recent advances in surface plasmon induced /assisted catalysis
·     Recent advances in electrocatalysis
·     Recent advances in photocatalysis
