[求助] UCLA居然要$10000一年的板凳费已有7人参与

开始还以为看错了。有申请UCLA的同仁遇见过这种情况吗？
是对方秘书邮件里发的，同时附了学院的网页，确实有如下信息，想问下这个有办法减免吗？多谢啦！
Full Year (12 months): $10,000
Per 3 month term (winter, spring, summer, fall) $3,000
Per month (30 days): $1,500
Per week (7 days): $500
Minimum fee: $1,000
This fee covers costs currently charged by the university to process visa applications and Bruin Card applications as well as faculty and staff time in facilitating and advising visiting scholars with their research/study program while at UCLA, administration of the program and overhead charges on facilities and equipment. Visitors are provided with a shared office space when available.
