Research Assistants (RA) biomedical field, City University of Hong Kong

Our lab, “Nano-robotic Manipulation & Bio-assembly Lab” in MBE department, CityU of HK, is interested in the nanomaterial and biomedical fields. Today, we are looking for three Research Assistants (RAs) to work together on the following projects: 1. In-situ SEM characterization In this project, we aim to study the behavior of nanomaterial based on our self-developed nano-manipulation platform within SEM. The candidate should have master/PhD degree; have good knowledge about nanotechnology, mechanics and material; have experience on SEM characterization; have publications in related field. 2. Nano-robotic manipulation and control In this project, we aim to develop an intelligent nano-robotic system within SEM to realize the flexible, repeatable and accurate manipulation of nano-material, in which both the practical and theoretical problems will be addressed. The candidate should have master/PhD degree; have good knowledge about mechatronics, control theory, programming, robotics, and MEMS sensors; have experience on robot design and control, especially on vision and force feedback control; have publications in related field. 3. Remote cell manipulation within microfluidic chip In this project, we will focus on the remote manipulation within the microfluidic chip to address biomedical analysis. The candidate should have master/PhD degree; have good knowledge about magnetic or surface acoustic wave or optical manipulation, microfluidic, bio engineering, and basic control theory; have experience on microchip design; have publications in related field. Competitive salary will be offered based on experience. PhD admission will be offered with high priority to those RAs (have master degree) with good performance.
