对这个句子，therefor前后的逗号不需要修改。句中“and”前为“vascular regulation ”，后为“atherosclerosis”，感觉有点不平衡、不一致，如果将“atherosclerosis”改为““atherosclerosis prevention”什么的（不懂专业，瞎猜），就好了。
