The ATM Lab is dedicated on material and process innovation to achieve high performance, low cost electronic devices for generating renewable energy and boosting energy efficiency. The overall research covers a wide spectrum of material systems at different length scales including organic, inorganic and composites materials. Research experience in CVD growth, chemical synthesis and processing of thin-film materials and/or nano materials is highly wanted.Knowledge on the fabrication, measurement, and analysis of solar cells, transistors, LEDs and lithium batteries is a plus. For postdoctoral candidates, past experience in building and maintaining vacuum equipment (CVD tools, RF sputter, E-Beam evaporator, etc.), as well as in mentoring junior research fellows is also desired. All students and postdoctoral researchers will have immediate access to the fabrication and characterization facilities in the department, the joint High Performance Materials Institute and the Materials Science Program at Florida State University, and in the High Magnetic National Lab (2mins walk from the department).
