Special Issue on
Detection of Healthcare Associated Pathogens

Call for Papers

Pathogens are a kind of microorganisms that may lead to various diseases of plants and animals. Some pathogens may cause great harm to human health, such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), Escherichia coli, vibrio cholera, and syphilis. Novel methods to accurately determine the pathogen levels are highly desired for pathological studies, diagnosis, and therapies of diseases.

We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles on the development and application of analytical methods for the detection
of exogenic pathogens that merit urgent publication. The proposed work can use various techniques such as electrophoretic, colorimetric, fluorimetric, electrochemical, and mass spectrometric techniques. The proposed work can
deal with any type of pathogenic microorganisms including protozoa, virus, and bacteria. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
Identification of novel biorecognition elements for pathogens
Principles of pathogen biosensors
Modern technologies for clinical evaluation of pathogens
Role of nanomaterials in pathogens analysis
Environmental monitoring of pathogens
Advances of microbiology in food safety
