the Sr. LIB development Engineers

Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities: • Lead and directly contribute to the development of new designs of LIB, including but not limited to new materials evaluations, formulation development, and component selection for new generations of products • Develop component and product specifications for both made and purchased components and assemblies • Evaluate and develop suppliers and vendors • Carry out cost down activities and second source development • Participate in failure modes and effects analyses (DFMEA) • Support failure analysis on test cells and product Requirements / Qualifications • 4+ years’ experience in Li-ion product design, especially on 18650/26650 and prismatic types. • Master/Doctor degree in Materials Science, Chemical(Electrochemical)Engineering • Deep knowledge of the fundamentals of cell design and performance, product development, pilot and production processes, and DFMEA of Lithium ion-based cells • Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to combine theory with empirical observation • Ability to interact effectively with vendors and colleagues • Self-motivated, persistent, hands-on, and results-oriented • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment • Established track record of successful electrochemical product design • Working knowledge of statistics |
