[交流] siheyuan

siheyuan, the most important form of the traditional residential house ,of which number is great and distribution is wide,popular among han,man,bai and other minority groups . siheyuans are made of mood framework . the principal room is  built on the south-north axis and the wing room is  loadted on both sides of the house .the family older live in the principal room and the wing room is the bedroom for the younger generations.woman live in inner yard .guests and male servent live in outer yard .this distribution is in accordance with feudal regulations .siheyuan spreads over towns and viliages througout china and each developedits own characteristics  as the result of respective  nutrual conditions and the ways of  life .siheyuan in beijing is the most reprentive .
